Archive for the ‘June 2012’ Category

So much for posting images once a week or once a month in 2012.
Beekeeping took up too much time last year, but then more people buy honey than buy photographs.
I kept taking pictures all year
I kept formatting them for the web until June.
I gave up posting June 8 — here’s the last images — to June 17.
There will be no descriptions or commentary – that tedious inputting is what caused a halt to the postings.

Rain – it makes one catch up on all the “inside” jobs.  As you’ll see, it’s been a week of rain here.

Thimbleberry In the Rain

Thimbleberries are in bloom right now.  Sometimes the bees work them, but not in the rain.  They produce a wonderfully tart berry, but you have to eat them when you pick them because they are too soft and too good to carry around.

Happy Water

That’s this week’s “photo of water a day” from photographer Karen E. Bean, of Maple Falls, WA (that would be me).  I’m glad to be back on a weekly posting schedule.
