Delay, delays, so this and the next is a bit of catching up. I’ll work from most recent to earlier in the year.
We work the Seattle’s Fremont Market every Sunday. Ian goes every week, I go on the first Sunday of the week (it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive, but it’s our best market). It works – Ian hates doing internet work, I hate rising at 3am… To each their skills at our farm.
March 31
It just kept raining…. so to the kitchen, a glass of water and a window into the rainy day
March 30
Glacier, Washington : Hopeful skiiers head for Mt. Baker in the driving rain.
March 29
March 28
Water falling in mass off a broken gutter onto the speckled pavement creates an abstract pattern that caught my eye.
March 27
It’s dark, it’s wet, it’s cold….getting desperate here….
March 26
Forest walks – soothing, if damp in the rain
March 25
March 24
Waiting for the afternoon flight out of Reykjavík, Iceland : a visit to the local park. (We went to the UK, and then a day in Iceland…keep scrolling down)
March 23
A little touristy, but nothing says “water” like a massive waterfall.
March 22
Waiting for the afternoon plane from London to Iceland – these were in a large CITY forest/park. Near where my husband grew up.
March 21
March 20
We just don’t have kitchen taps this cool in the US.
March 19
This is the view from Beachy Head (white cliffs of Dover to many of us) in the south of England.
March 18
There’s a drought in the UK – a “hose pipe ban” (no watering lawns) was in place already.
March 17
I was walking from the National Gallery (love those impressionists, we don’t have them in Maple Falls, WA) to the Tate Modern (don’t ask, don’t go – head for the Tate Britian instead), which is open late.. My route took me across the Thames.
March 16
A train from Newcastle, the underground to Heathrow, pick-up rental car…but there was some water…
March 15
March 14
I so enjoyed my visit.
March 13
A twelve hour flight, an underground journey to the Kings Cross train station, and now waiting to go north to visit my father (that was good) and my step-family (enough said). This was the only type of water I had seen in over 18 hours.
March 12
On the way to the UK, I’m thinking Water, I need water, then I looked at the window : ice.
March 11
A bit documentary – I wrap my hives with roofing tar paper – to act as “rain coats” – these were showing why I do it : another nice day before I left for the UK.
March 10
A rock atop the black asphalt rain hat on one of my hives. The rock, and rope holds the “rain hat” in place.
March 9
Holistic Farms (near Bellingham, Washington) – their greenhouses as seen though the wet windshield of my truck. I spent the days before my UK excursion feeding my bees (some of which live at Holistic Farms).
March 8
Snow on Asphalt Sheeting…. More bee stuff… And in the snow, you can’t win around here.
March 7
Snow curls off a metal, gutterless roof – to create a nice abstraction.
March 6
March 5
We live near one of the most beautiful rivers in the world. This is an easy day hike through old growth forests… Here presented in black and white.
March 4
March 3
Way too much time fooling with photoshop….
March 2
Rain, snow, more rain, more snow – it has not been a glorious winter here…

It is indeed a rush to get caught up on the postings.
Taking the images is fun, if challenging on some days.
Working with the images is fun.
Posting the images — now that is a bit of a pain – perhaps if I didn’t get so behind it would be fine.
Weekly, yes, weekly (I hope)
Now it’s off to prepare to split some hives and walk the pack goats …
